Below you will find support resources for children related to developmental delays, medical expenses, and caregivers:

Early Intervention. This program includes evaluation, assessment, and Individualized Family Service Plans for children displaying signs of developmental problems or delays. Examples include if your child should be crawling, walking, or talking, but isn't yet. Contact Early Intervention System at 888-653-4463 for children up to age 3. (For children aged 3 and older, contact Project Child Find at 800-322-8174.)

Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund Commission. Financial assistance for families with catastrophic medical expenses due to a child's illness or condition for expenses incurred prior to the child's 22nd birthday. Here is info on who is eligible and which expenses might qualify. (Example: a $6000 hearing aid might qualify.) Call 1-800-335-FUND (3863) or apply online.

Caregivers Coalition. Programs and services designed to support individuals serving as caregivers for others to help them manage the stress and financial toll of their work. This service is available for people in Morris, Somerset, Essex, Sussex, and Warren Countries. Visit here to learn more.

SPAN Parent Advocacy Network. This organization is for parents and caregivers of children with developmental delays, disabilities, mental health challenges, and special health needs. They offer a parent-to-parent program where you can get matched with families with similar needs and experiences, as well as workshops, trainings, conferences, and community-based services.
